Shirley (Gloves to the Rescue) is my neighbour and as the whole of my house was over due for redecorating I asked her if she and her team were interested and her quote for the work was very competitive.

We decided to do the upstairs first, 3 bedrooms and the bathroom. All beautiful cleaned and prepared before being painted.

Shirley and her Team went out of their way to help me empty the rooms and put everything back when each room was completed. They were invaluable.

It was then agreed to a months break as I was going on holiday and on my return the Hall, Stairs and Landing, Front Porch, Lounge, Dinning Room, Kitchen,Study, Toilet and Conservatory were decorated and again they helped with emptying the rooms which again was invaluable.

In addition Shirley gave guidance on which colour paint would suit best as i was also having a new Lounge and Dinning Room carpet fitted and i am not good on colour design.

I was delighted with the end result and following this Shirley and her Team painted the Garden fence, Shed and Garden Seat, Jet washed the front Drive and back Patio. Again a very Professional job.

In the past Shirley has done a one off Spring Clean which included Front inside windows and Doors, inside and outsides of Kitchen Cupboards and Floor to Ceiling Tiles.

She and her Team are very hard working, Cheerful and Trustworthy.

I am now in the process of having a complete refurb of my Bathroom after which Gloves to the Rescue are already booked to do a complete Spring Clean in late march 2018.

“I was taking on a new property and whilst it had been ‘professionally cleaned’ according to the agents it had that ‘lived in’ smell and looked shabby, I wouldn’t have rented it. It needed a decent ‘in clean’.

One day, whilst at my office, I noticed that there was a team cleaning a flat opposite, it had just been refurbished and needed a proper ‘builders clean’. I went over and spoke to Shirley, (the boss), and she showed me what they were doing. Suitably impressed I asked if she could sort out my new place.

She said that they were busy but would see what they could. She called me the next day and said that they’d had a cancellation and could sort out my place in two days. We met onsite to discuss what was needed. She pointed out some problems with the property which could be improved with a little decoration and detail work.

Shirley and her team carried out the work efficiently and at a very competitive price. The lived in smell had gone and the house looked ‘as new’. They had painted the airing cupboard, previously it looked dirty and not a nice place to put sheets etc in. They left the property in such a good condition that my managing agent said she hadn’t realised the property was so nice!

I was very pleased and so, when I had a mobile home that needed an ‘out’ clean I asked Shirley to do it. As with most caravans it had a problem with mildew and condensation. Again, Shirley was able to start at short notice and was competitively priced. This time I was able to inspect the finished property and it was perfect. The attention to detail was astounding, they had used steam cleaners to remove all marks from the shower cubicle which looked as new. The carpets had been worked on so the furniture dents and other marks had gone. All the white goods had been taken out and the area behind them had been deep cleaned, something that is often overlooked by other companies. Any mildew and mould was gone. In all, to my mind, the property was perfect and ready for new occupants.

I would sincerely recommend Shirley and her ‘Gloves to the Rescue Team’. They price competitively, do a better than good job, will do minor things at their own initiative which will improve the clean (without extra cost), and, make recommendations (if major work, such that an increase to the fee is needed) which will make the whole job even better.

All in all, a good company giving a good product at a good price.”
